What is the meaning of flora and vaginal flora?

The flora is a complex ecosystem of microbes that occur in various parts of the body and cover the mucous membranes. Its role is very important, including protection against various diseases and preventing recurrent diseases. The vaginal flora, previously known as Döderlein flora, is important for maintaining health and vaginal comfort.

Itching, burning, irritation, pain, vaginal discharge, and unpleasant odors – all of these are symptoms of a serious imbalance in the vaginal flora.

What causes damage to the vaginal flora?

The reasons are many and complex. They include:

1. Lifestyle: taking contraceptives, diet, smoking, excessive intimate hygiene, intercourse, reduced immune system function, wearing synthetic underwear, bathing in swimming pools or natural waters;
2. Certain life situations: menstruation, pregnancy, postpartum, menopause;
3. Vaginal infections: fungal and bacterial infections;
4. Taking certain medications: antibiotics, antifungals, oral and topical corticosteroids (in the form of tablets, capsules, suppositories or creams).

As a result, the balance of the vaginal flora is disrupted, which must be restored in order for the vagina to regain its defensive ability.

How to restore the balance of vaginal flora?

Due to the unique composition of LcrRegenerans ^® , the active ingredient of gynophilus ^®  RESTORE, it combines the properties of the bacterium Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus, which is naturally present in the vagina (probiotic), and its nutrient (prebiotic).

This composition has three advantages:

• restoration of healthy vaginal pH, which is due to the lactic acid-producing ability of lactobacilli
• formation of a protective layer
• effect against pathogens.

In this way, gynophilus ^®  RESTORE creates conditions in the vagina that are conducive to the development of natural and healthy flora.

How do I use gynophilus ^®  RESTORE?

• wash your hands thoroughly before using the product,
• Using tap water, wet the tablet completely for 1-2 seconds and then insert it deep into your vagina.

After application, the tablet slowly disintegrates and continuously releases the active ingredient over four days.
We recommend that you apply gynophilus ^®  RESTORE in the evening, before going to bed.
gynophilus ^®  RESTORE is completely odorless and does not cause discoloration on clothes or bedding.

Dosage

A total of 2 tablets are required to restore vaginal flora and comfort (one tablet every fourth day).
Gynophilus ^®  RESTORE is usually used when:

• when a topical antibiotic or antifungal treatment is finished,
• usually at the same time as oral medications (typically antibiotics).

During treatment:

• Occasional vaginal discharge is a natural phenomenon, so we recommend using a sanitary pad.
• If the tablet is not sufficiently wet, small particles may come off.

Sexual intercourse is possible while using the product. It is not recommended to use a condom or a diaphragm for 8 hours after insertion. Spermicidal contraception is not recommended, as it damages the vaginal flora.
Recommendations for strengthening healthy vaginal flora:

• Clean with neutral or slightly acidic soap,
• use your own towel,
• use cotton underwear,
• avoid vaginal douching.

Thiosulfate enhances the effect of Lcr Regenerans®.

The metabolites selected by Lcr Regenerans® enhance the beneficial effect on the microbiome.

What are the benefits of the extended-release vaginal pill?

gynophilus ^®  RESTORE is the first probiotic vaginal tablet with a prolonged effect.
The prolonged effect allows for more convenient application:

• a single tablet contains enough active ingredient to last for 4 days,
• The prolonged effect reduces the heavy discharge associated with the use of vaginal preparations.

The tablet disintegrates in the vagina in such a way that it forms a jelly-like substance, from which lactobacilli and the substances necessary for their nutrition are continuously released, thus helping to restore the vaginal flora.
