What do you need to know about unsaturated fatty acids, DHA and EPA?
Unsaturated fatty acids, such as Omega-3 fatty acids, play an essential role in the physiological processes of the human body. In fact, few nutrients have been studied as thoroughly as Omega-3 fatty acids. They cannot be produced by the body and must be obtained from food or supplements.

The most well-known Omega-3 fatty acids are ALA, DHA and EPA. Our bodies cannot produce these fatty acids, so it is important to replace them with a healthy diet and dietary supplements. Our body can convert the essential fatty acid ALA into EPA and then DHA in the liver, but the rate of this conversion is quite limited. The conversion rate is only 15%, so it is important to regularly replenish our stores of EPA and DHA fatty acids.
DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and vision, which effects can be achieved with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA. EPA and DHA contribute to the proper functioning of the heart. This beneficial effect can be achieved with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA, which is provided by a single capsule of OMEGA 3 FISH OIL.
The daily dose (1 capsule) contains 1200 mg of fish oil, of which 720 mg are Omega-3 fatty acids: EPA 432 mg and DHA 288 mg.

Experts attach great importance to the Omega-3 / Omega-6 ratio within the types of essential fatty acids. The ideal ratio is 1:1-1:3, however, the bad eating habits of the civilized world today contain these two types of fatty acids in an average ratio of 1:10-1:30. Too high a ratio of Omega 6 fatty acids in the body is not ideal, so it is important to pay special attention to its proper counterbalance. To restore the proper ratio, nutrition experts recommend a diet rich in Omega-3 fats.
What contains Omega-6 fatty acids, excessive intake of which should be avoided?

What is the ideal Omega-3 intake?
General health organizations, such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), recommend 250–500 mg of combined EPA and DHA per day for healthy adults. ( 1 , 2 , 3 ) The American Heart Association recommends eating fatty fish at least twice a week to ensure optimal Omega-3 intake ( 4 )
When it comes to nutrition, more isn't always better. As with many nutrients, there's an upper limit to how much you should take. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) says that up to 2,000 mg of combined EPA and DHA per day from supplements is safe. In large doses, Omega-3s can thin the blood. Talk to your doctor if you have a bleeding disorder or are taking blood-thinning medications.
